May Auction in Expo 58 ART

The Adolf Loos Apartment and Gallery auction house has once again confirmed that it is the leader of the Czech art auction market. 

At Sunday's auction of the Adolf Loos Apartment and Gallery in the new exhibition space Expo 58 ART in Prague, new world and artist records were broken. One of the auction's highlights was the prized oil Toyen, Je m'aperçois que ma page blanche est devenue verte. The title of the painting was applied to the parte of this important surrealist painter. This seminal work by Toyen went for 1 163 265 EUR, making the painting the world auction record for the most expensive Toyen sold in the 1950s and the most expensive Toyen ever sold in the post-war period in the country.
