Leading Czech Art Theorist and Historian

Since 1977 he has worked in the National Gallery. Between 1994 and 1997 he was first appointed director, then director of the National Gallery Graphic Collection. From 2001 to 2012, he was curator of Prague's Kampa Museum. He lectured at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague and at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. He has written numerous publications on modern art, has prepared more than 120 exhibitions at home and abroad.
