Art Bulletin / Autumn 2018

Dear friends, collectors, investors and art lovers,  In this issue, we will introduce to you the important artworks that will be the part of the auction in Mánes, Prague, on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at 2 pm.
You could read more about unique oil-paintings from Toyen, Jindřich Štyrský and Antonín Procházka, from the significant collection of Dr. Ivo Rotter, which have been exhibited for a log time in the National Gallery Berlvedere in Vienna. One of the most important highlights of this auction will be the outstanding oil by Josef Čapek, Boy in the Window, that Čapek started painting already in 1915 and is therefore probably the first work by Josef Čapek with the motive of a child. The auction will also offer a wonderful gouache on paper called Les Danseuses by František Kupka from the period before 1905. The auction will also feature a rare photograph by František Drtikol called Composition (1929, pigment print), which comes from his top period. We will also introduce you to the paintings by Jan Merta and other important artworks of the October auction.
Soprano Markéta Fassati gave us an interesting interview about the upcoming Fassati Art Festival, which will surely attract you by its unconventional concept in which it connects fine art with music and gastronomic experiences.
