curators: Vladimir Lekes, Alena Havlikova   On February 13, 2019, Adolf Loos Apartment and Gallery hosted a unique exhibition called "Josef Šíma - Jan Zrzavý: Paintings from Important Collections".
Josef Šíma belonged to the greatest painters of the modern art of the 20th century. Jan Zrzavý was one of the most important members of the Czech avant-garde art group.
 
The exhibited paintings came from well-known, mostly foreign collections, such as the collection of art dealer and collectors Paul Facchetti, who also represented Sima for a long time; Sima's close friends from Paris, the poet and critic Jean Pierre Jouve, and the poet, writer, critic Philippe Soupoult; poet Theo Herkel Florin, writer and critic Stanislav Smatlak, writer Martha Zelezna - Davuse, pianist and composer Emil Gilels, writer Jarmila Glazarova, writer and scriptwriter Oto Hofman, and also directly from the collection of Jan Zrzavy.
It was an unrepeatable opportunity to see significant paintings by Josef Sima and Jan Zrzavy because most of works were not publicly exhibited in the Czech Republic.

From February 13 - 24, 2019, Mon - Sun 10:00 - 18:00. Free admission.
